THE PIKE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INC.
COVID-19: Update from the Chamber
Chamber Postpones Upcoming Events & Programs;
Strives to Continue be a Resource to Members
In an effort to assist with social distancing and per the recommendation from the CDC regarding a reduction of gatherings for the next eight weeks, beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020 through Friday, May 8, 2020, we will be postponing our upcoming events. This rescheduling of Chamber programs and events also includes our class programs, Leadership Pike and Junior Ambassadors.
The Chamber will continue to closely monitor and evaluate information and guidance provided by local authorities as well as state and federal agencies as we go forward. Should the dates need to be adjusted or if there are any other updates, we will continue to communicate with members via email and our social media platforms.
“Our most important concern is that our members remain safe and secure from any potential exposure to the Coronavirus and that we, as a Chamber, continue to be a benefit and a resource to our community and membership through this trying time,” said Chamber President Dana Sanders. “We will work to reschedule as many events as possible. We will be closely monitoring the situation and will be continuously communicating resources for our member businesses and promoting buying locally safely featuring new policies and services of our member businesses through email, the weekly digital edition, and our social media platform.”
As we monitor information, we will be sharing pertinent updates with our members through digital format. The Chamber is aware of the occurring and potential impacts to our Pike County businesses, jobs, and residents. We will continue to strive to be a resource to our membership during this time. We will continue to update you with any additional information or any updates on future Chamber events.
Our top priority is contributing to the health and safety of our community and members. Please continue to do your part to prevent the spread of any illness in your workplace and community by engaging in universal precautions and staying home when ill. We value your partnering with us in this endeavor.
Of course, we will always support and engage our valued members of our community, and will be following up with helpful strategies and tactics to assist you during this challenging time.
