ATFA "Make and Take" Rain Barrel Workshop

The Pike County Chapter of Alabama Treasure Forestry Association will be hosting a "Make and Take" Rain Barrel Workshop on Monday October 25 from 1 until 3 in the fellowship hall of 1st Baptist Church. 

The Alabama Rain Barrel Project encourages water conservation and protection.  During this 2 hour workshop, participants will learn about watersheds; non point source water pollution and the importance of water conservation.  For a cost of $25, each participant will construst and leave the work shop with a completed rain barrel (an $80 value)

Reasons for water barrels: plants love fresh water, conserve water, reduce runoff, convience and best of all you SAVE $ on water. 

Lisa Harris and Janet Wafford of the Alabama rain barrel project will be conducting the workshop.  There are a limited number of spaces available.  IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE CALL 334.808.1404 TO MAKE A RESERVATION.
