The Paul R. Jones Collection is one of the oldest, largest and most comprehensive holdings of African American art in the world. Jones began buying paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures more than four decades ago. Jones, who has been described by Art & Antiques magazine as “one of the top art collectors in the country,” donated more than 1,700 pieces of art to the University of Alabama.
