    Send us your comments on employers/employees that have made your day by being nice. Names and/or businesses names will not be used..It is the thought that counts!  “It was great going to the body shop to replace my broken car grill, and hearing that there would be not charge for labor. Granted there was not much time involved, but the shop could have automatically charged the normal standard deduction for labor”…nice people.

    August is National Immunization Awareness Month. We all need shots (also called vaccinations or immunizations) to help protect us from serious diseases. To help keep our community safe, The Pike County Chamber of Commerce Health and Human Services Committee is proudly participating in National Immunization Awareness Month. Shots can prevent serious diseases like the flu, measles, and tuberculosis (TB). It’s important to know which shots you need and when to get them. Everyone age 6 months and older needs to get a flu shot every year. Other shots work best when they are given at certain ages.

The Chamber will host two ribbon cuttings this month:  On Tuesday, July 22, 10:00a.m. we will cut the ribbon for BedZZZ  Express located next to Chic-Fil-A on 231S and on Thursday, July 31, 4:00p.m. we will cut the ribbon for the newly remodeled Hampton Inn located at 103 Troy Plaza Loop.
