Leadership Lunch Speaker Robert Jacobs, Golden Boy, February 23rd at Half Shell. Pike County Young Professionals, PCYP, is an organization which offers a great way for young professionals in Pike County to network, socialize, and expand their professional horizons.
PCYP began our launch in the fall of 2008 with a simple agenda: To enrich our community by uniting and developing our young professionals. Since, we have held a community-wide event fe
aturing former University of Alabama football player, Siran Stacy; a Cinco de Mayo networking social for members and a leadership lunch with Troy University’s Senior Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Col. John Schmidt. With many exciting initiatives on the horizon, we feel that we have an opportunity to be a part of creating Pike County’s future.
PCYP serves as a vehicle for current and potential young professionals to:
- Enhance their professional skills
- Participate in making Pike County an attractive place for young people and future generations
- Network with existing young professionals through a series of social/networking opportunities
- Participate/communicate community-wide events that impact young professionals
We are a membership based organization and an extension of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce; however, you do not have to be a member to participate in any of our events. Our target members are young professionals (ages 21-45) interested in developing our community through outreach, networking or professional development. We encourage anyone serving in a business development, management or leadership role to join, but we do not put our focus on restrictions. If you are energetic and enthusiastic about Pike County’s young professional community, we would love to have you join us.

Steven Schmidt
